1 1/3 c.  dried apricots 
  ½ c.  margarine 
  ½ c.  granulated sugar 
      2 ½ c.  baking mix (e.g. Bisquik) 
      2 c. brown  sugar (packed) 
      4 eggs,  beaten 
      2/3 c.  baking mix 
      1 tsp.  vanilla 
      1 c.  chopped nuts 
      Powdered  sugar | 
    In saucepan,  cover apricots with water.  Bring to  boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered 10 min.   Drain, cook, chop. 
      Heat oven  to 350 degrees.  Cut margarine into  granulated sugar and 2 ½ c. baking mix.   Pat in ungreased jelly roll pan (15 ½” x 10 ½”X 1”).  Bake until light brown, about 10 min. 
      Beat  brown sugar and eggs.  Stir in apricots,  2/3 c. baking mix, vanilla and nuts.   Spread over baked layer.  Bake 30  min. longer.  Cool completely; sprinkle  with powdered sugar.  Cut into 2” x 1”  bars. |
